Hi there :) My daughter is 4months old and exclusively breastfeed since birth. I have now decided to try and wean her from the breast to the bottle. While I have been breastfeeding, I have also expressed milk into bottles which she has drank from happily with no problems whatsoever. We have just started trying to mix S26 baby formula with my expressed breastmilk. I have done this so there is a small amount of formula in the bottle and then topping it up with my breastmilk. I planned to increase the formula strength gradually until she can drink a full bottle of formula. She drank her first formula/breastmilk bottle and took to it very well. We tried again the second night and she was a completely different person. She screamed and fussed and kicked every time the bottle touched her mouth and just cried. She calmed down with the dummy and we tried again later but she simply refused. I then gave up and breastfed her, she fell asleep and was fine. I dont know whether Im just overdoing it or if Ive done something wrong or if my methods aren't correct (although its hard to say that any method is correct because all babies are different! :) If there's any advice anyone could give me or if anyone could tell me what to expect when trying to wean, that would be much appreciated as I feel at a loss!
